The following arrived with both of my Jaunty machines w/o prompting.
Saying that, I did install Ubuntu Studio metapackages on top of the
default installation.
hakan at minotaur:~$ dpkg -S `which service`
sysvinit-utils: /usr/bin/service
My other boxes have too much crap to figure out if they're supposed to
be there or not. :)
