REG:Keyboard locked after installing xephyr and rebooting the system

Hi, 
I am using ubuntu8.04,
I had install xephyr and after I reboot my system.
Gui screen appears but my keyboard is not working I am not able enter any text using keyboard.

In the startup, Can I do login using textmode and change some settings in some file. So that my problem will solved.

Can any body help me in this regard.
