Jaunty: home dir already exists?!

Hello,

I just installed Jaunty over Intrepid on a machine, but kept my /home
partition intact.

So, /home/ has all the users' dirs in it. Now when I want to create the
users who were there in Intrepid, Juanty is complaining that
/home/<user> already exists. This is when I use the Users management
GUI. Is this how it is supposed to work? Shouldn't it be asking me that
the home dir already exists and whether to use that one?

I think meanwhile I will just use the good old adduser command in a
terminal.

Regards.
