Yes, it is definitely more complex than just remembering a password.   
However, it's much easier to script SSH sessions and commands if you  
use ssh keys, as you don't have to provide passwords.  Also, it does  
allow you the added benefit of ssh keys, as I believe I mentioned in  
my last email, is that you can eventually turn off tunneled cleartext  
passwords in sshd and only allow logins from those using keys.
