    You are disappointed and feel your let down by Ubuntu. This could be 
true, but please just tell us what happens when you put the CD-Rom in 
your laptop. Does it run? Can you see the kernel load? Does it give you 
some things to press the F1 -5 keys for?

    Or does the cd not run, and nothing happens? These can be simple 
things to fix but we need to understand your problem much better.
