The post by steve is a good starting point. Plus I would recommend to
use either Synaptic package manager or use "aptitude" command in place
of "apt-get" as shown on the URL he cited.

Next, your best bet is to search google on how to configure php and
mysql on Debian or Ubuntu machines (Ubuntu is based on Debian).
