Access to folders inside V-Box

> I am not sure I understood shared folder right.  I read the Virtual Box manual and understood that the shared folder is in the Host's filesystem that could be read from inside the V-Box's Windows XP guest.  I looked for vice versa ... reading folders inside the Windows XP from the Host side.  I looked for it somewhere else in the manual, but I couldn't find it. Did I miss it?

But I (personally) would be hesitant to make any changes to a mounted
.vdi image.  For me, accessing a shared folder from the guest OS (XP)
works well enough, and without any hitches.  I have XP map a network
drive on startup and then put a link on the XP desktop for easy
access...
