karl's sig bug in evolution on hardy?

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Signature_block, there is 
supposed to be a sig marker -- I checked one of Karl's emails, and the 
"-- " isn't there.  If it is on the other emails you refer to, perhaps 
the email software looks for the marker and cuts accordingly?
