virtualbox wont show USB ports in the guest OS

If you used apt-get install virtualbox-ose (Open Source Edition) or
downloaded it from  http://www.virtualbox.org/?
They are really different because ose edition doesn't seem to support USB
device!

I'm using the latter one, and my qq can access my webcam although I haven't
added the driver to my linux kernel.
WinXP in virtualbox ( not ose edition) can handle the driver issue directly.
