If you click the Network Manager icon in the tray (usually looks like a
little computer with a red x on it of there,s no connection, or an empty
wireless signal strength meter) you should get a list of available
wireless networks, provided you don't need special wireless drivers. If
you need the latter, hook the laptop up via wired internet, then open up
the "System > Administration > Hardware Drivers" tool. From there,
select your wireless driver (there's usually only 1 or 2...pick
whichever one says 'recommended' if there's more than 1). After that,
everything should work as expected.
