IRC ban for hosting a TOR relay?

Hello all,

I'm curious... after one gets booted (without warning, AFAIK) from 
Freenode for hosting a TOR relay (which seems inconsistent with the 
policies mentioned here:  http://freenode.net/policy.shtml#tor)... what 
recourse does one have?  I can't get back on to ask what specifically I 
did wrong, or what I need to do to make things good again... and emails 
to both the general 'web at freenode.net' as well as the address in my logs 
that appears to be from the person who banned me appear to be 
disappearing into a black hole...

Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated.
