Pulseaudio still buggy in Karmic

Thanks, I think one of those links to the forum is actually mine.
:-) After trolling around I managed to fix the problem by deleting
the .pulse directory and reinstalling. It does appear to be some form
of bug. Not sure when it's going to be fixed in pulseaudio though. I
still find pulseaudio a little unstable in karmic and the pavcontrol
quits a lot when you play with it.

Pulseaudio was introduced in Intrepid Ibex so its nearly three
generations of Ubuntu later and still not what it should be. I found a
lot of posts where people just removed it entirely. There's also talk
about an Alsa bug which affects Pulseaudio so maybe the problem is
conflict between the two systems?

Take a look at
http://drowninginbugs.blogspot.com/2009/12/lucid-development-audio-for-alpha-1.html

Thank again, always good to get support, even if it was late.

Regards

David.
