Grub not properly installing.

I did do that: there was no grub to boot!

I do not want to install two grubs because in six months or two years
when I come back to this machine I will forget what is where, and I
will be bitten. I have learned that nothing trumps data integrity (do
not duplicate data).

I will simply install grub2 on the Jaunty install and hopefully that
will let me configure it properly. Thanks.
