I see no reference to Go-oo in the standard (U)OOo 2.4.1 splash screen
or 'Help|About'. Nor do I see it in the PPA 3.0.1 screen. You sure
you're seeing that?
But this PPA build did not

I'm pretty sure that *all* (U)OOo's are go-oo builds regardless of what
the splash screen may (or may not) say. You can follow along on the
mailing list: http://go-oo.org/developers/
http://lists.go-oo.org/listinfo.cgi/dev-go-oo.org
Also, if you:
cat /usr/lib/openofice/program/versionrc
You'll find:
Vendor=Debian and Ubuntu
You'll find posts by Chris Cheney who is responsible for (U)OOo and the PPA.
