Why do people detest top posting so much?

    I suspect you mean "top post".

    and note 11 in particular. Mostly: 1) it's backwards when
  somebody else looks at the archives and 2) it forces
  one that don't precisely remember the context to read
  backwards. Usual example:

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing in e-mail?
