Which version of Quanta? Which version of the OS? Do you have a crash
log? If so, did you file a bug report with the maintainer of the
package? These problems can't be fixed if maintainers don't know about
them and have enough details to be able to replicate, diagnose, and fix
the problem.
It doesn't matter if you run KDE or not. apt-get will drag in the KDE/Qt
libraries that Quanta needs when you install it.
