Thanks David Fox - and a new problem with on-line radio

Hello,

I just tried CHML and no luck. The odd thing is that in the previous
older Ubuntu installation (ver 7.xx) I had no trouble with the Corous
stations. I will figure out how to re-install my browser (and hope I
don't create new problems), which in the world of Windows, sometimes
work.

I have the on-line upgraded. The upgrade is from a CD that came with
a magazine. Think that it was the Ubuntu magazine. I installed the
32 bit version. After the install from the disk I was prompted to do
the upgrade from the Ubuntu site. The bad setup that I had before
was from an older version disk (7.xx). I think that they were different
magazines. I recall reading one claims that they "expertly" compiled
the distro to provide a better than what is the official package.

I am using a previously new hard disk.

Right now I am listening to the main local N P R radio via my regular
radio ("Selected Shorts" and then "As It Happens" until 12 midnight.
I need to get to bed by 12 so I can get up early enough to go to
Seattle.

Yes, I was able to listen to CBC and I think some other station. I
will check more later. Might also install another browser in addition
to FireFox.

Appreciate very much your very informative reply.

Thomas
