Hi Bill,

This list is for user technical support, not for suggestions.
If you want to inform Ubuntu of your desires and wishes on a particular
program/package of Ubuntu, you must file it in "Launchpad', which is
where you can file bugs about Ubuntu.

Here is a link from where you can add new bug report to Ubuntu:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+filebug

You will be required to open an account (just follow the instructions).

Then you must report your bug against the package: "gnome-app-install",
this the name of the program you were refering to.
