Problem with Google Mail and Ubuntu

Is it on-topic to discuss how we would like Evolution-Express types of email
SW to be improved?

I would like an autoresponder under the list name so that by using a
"reflector expression", anybody on the list would be sending the posting
back out to all on the list.

example 1) "ABC List" in the subject line and if anybody on ABC in the
Address Book replies, it goes out to all the others on ABC.

example 2) automated sub-unsub so that anybody on ABC can automatically
sub/unsub.

The ISPs have NO reason to object. This kind of SW is only the business of
the client. It is PRIVATE listerver SW and not a PUBLIC listserver.
