9.04 can't find second hard drive.

I deduce the old drive is IDE.

IDE got master / slave jumper. Usually they are small plastic cap with connector inside. Pretty small that you need to be careful not to lose it. Use a big flat table.

And usually motherboard WILL NOT allow multiple master drive. Either CD drive or IDE harddrive should be master, the other have to be a slave.
