This site says:
"I removed the hard disk from the computer and sealed it in a ziplock
bag to prevent condensation."

Condensation happens the other way. A cold item in warm moist air
gathers moisture on its surface. It happens immediately and continues
until the cold object reaches a temperature above the dew point. Due to
that error I can't trust the info on that site.

Quoting once again:
"The first thing you want to do is remove the drive from the computer
and put it in a sealed plastic bag to avoid condensation."

This site makes exactly the same error indicating to me that both are
sending along hearsay 'facts' of which they have no personal knowledge.
I don't trust 'em.

It likely wouldn't harm the /drive/ but condensation all over the
surface includes all the connector pins for the data cable as well as
the power cable. I wouldn't want to hook wet pins up to my electronics
unless I was ready to write it all off for good.
