If the Windows installer crashed, then it's leftovers would be in your
'fake' windows drive
This is normally /home/yourUserName/.wine/drive_c
If you know Windows then you should be able to find it in there.
Linux as a rough rule uses /tmp for temporary space, but it's fairly
good about cleaning it up too.

on linux - be sure to read

You really save yourself a lot of hassle if you stick to what's in the
repositories whenever possible, and you rarely need to go outside
them.
