modify hosts file

I've modified the /etc/hosts file, like this:

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.0 domain0.com
127.0.0.0 domain1.com

because I want to block

domain0.com and
domain1.com

but I don't want to set 127.0.0.1 to them, because then I have to wait until
"timeout"

Is it "ok" to set 127.0.0.0 IPs to domains what I want to block? It wont
wait until timeout, like when using 127.0.0.1

p.s.: what size is the max for the hosts file? :D

Thank you!
