I bought a used a21m thinkpad (750mz PIII with 512mb ram) from ebay and
run jaunty on it with no problem. I think I spent all of $250 after
buying the machine, adding a 20gb hdd to replace the 4gb that was in
there, and buying a PCMCIA wifi card for it.
I also just acquired an everex cloudbook with hardy from ebay for all of
$100, and it's a pretty nifty little machine (1.2ghz, 512mb ram, I think).
