Installing Openoffice on ppc

I'm using Ubuntu 8.4 Intrepid.
I'm trying to install openoffice on an old IMac ppc and get the 
following error when using apt-get install openoffice.org:
    The following packages have unmet dependencies:
       openoffice.org: Depends: openoffice.org-report-builder-bin but it 
is not installable

I've read previously that this is due to openoffice not being compatible 
on powerpc. Is there any way to install it such as downloading and 
compiling from source?
