In the last few days my system has been hanging during boot.
I get the following error:
Log of fsck -C3 -R -A -a
Thu Jun 25 08:18:05 2009
fsck 1.41.4 (27-Jan-2009)
/dev/sda2: clean, 31685/6823936 files, 4743378/27274353 blocks
fsck.ext3: Unable to resolve 'UUID=5af75fba-045b-41c1-ae54-f7c5bc133694'
fsck.ext3: Unable to resolve 'UUID=27655aac-f0fc-40df-9ba1-8412d584b5c5'
fsck.ext3: Unable to resolve 'UUID=08c89a6f-7c9c-4f59-b26d-e43921450ad9'
fsck.ext3: Unable to resolve 'UUID=a21074d2-7e57-4676-aeda-c80b560d9c68'
fsck died with exit status 8
The only way to continue booting is by hitting ctrl+d. Booting continues normally and the drives are correctly mounted.
I've verified that th UUID identifiers that are listed in /etc/fstab match those listed in /dev/disk/by-uuid and are the same four partitions listed above. These correspond to /dev/sdb5, /dev/sdb2, /dev/sdb1 and /dev/sdb6, respectively.
How can I get this to stop hanging?
Paul
