Sending a odt file format to windows user

Don't!  (No, I'm not a rabid FSFer, see below :-) )

Don't use "save as", that way you have either two copies of the file, or 
your forced to just keep the .doc.  Instead, use "Send" - which gives you a 
menu of email options.  I don't know the difference between the first two, 
as I only need the next to "Email as Microsoft Word..." and "Email as 
PDF..."
