Actually, their English is very rarely the problem.  They often train their 
people to use an accent that is practically unidentifiable. I suspect that 
the average Indian call-centre employee is more readily understandable than 
the local Nova Scotian call-centre employees.  In North America, call-
centres tend to be placed in the least economically-advantaged areas, which 
coincidentally means the ones with the oddest accents...
