Try:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall openoffice.org openoffice.org-base-core
openoffice.org-common openoffice.org-java-common
dmaths (note the plural) is an add-on from the universe repository. you
can safely purge that and reinstall later if you wish.
If reinstalled later is should look something like this:
$ sudo apt-get install -s openoffice.org-dmaths
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Suggested packages:
dia drgeo
The following NEW packages will be installed:
openoffice.org-dmaths
0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Inst openoffice.org-dmaths (3.1-3 Ubuntu:9.04/jaunty)
Conf openoffice.org-dmaths (3.1-3 Ubuntu:9.04/jaunty)
