If you're running M$ stuff, search for *.iso on your primary drive.

Also, if you used Chrome (google's browser) to download the iso file, 
the default download folder is under My Documents/Downloads.  This has 
stumped more than a few not-so-novice users as that's not where some 
expect downloaded files to go.

A bit more info will help you get help

1) what operating system are you running when downloading Ubuntu
2) Did you download the full iso file or the .torrent file
3) if '.torrent' to 2), do you have a bittorrent client installed
