I don't see the connection between evolution and 
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad, hwinfo!?

I tried the mention commands from Karl, but without sudo!
I just got the "Wizard" to set up evolution. I don't use evolution, so I 
never set it up. If I would have a spar box to trash, I would try this 
commands from Karl with sudo and see what happens.

Karl, looks like good advice but some more explanation why it solves the 
problem would help.
