How can I upgrade ubuntu 8.04 to Jaunty from console?

More than likely do-release-upgrade won't let you upgrade to a non-lts. But if I'm wrong; you will get this message at any time do-release-upgrade fails to hit the archive. Is your machine fully connected to the internet? Proxies? DNS issues? etc. Test your connection.
