Remove Ubuntu 8.04

I have been running Ubuntu on a bual-boot basis with Windows XP, so that I might learn something of Linux before going off the deep end and total conversion.
I have successfully managed to mess up the Ubuntu install to the point that  I would like to start over.  So, how do I remove Ubuntu from the machine?
