Apt-cacher problem

I installed apt-cacher on several machines using that tutorial (and
hardy) and it's working great for me.

Post the output of 'aptitude update' on a machine that's configured to
use the cache, and it's sources.list and we'll see what we can figure
out.  It doesn't sound like it's set up right for you.
