Installing apps is easy depending on the software provider. If you 
download a package, you just double click on it, enter your password and 
voila!

Even on Windows sometimes you have to jump through hoops. /me runs 
setup.exe. Messagebox says: you need the .Net framework installed to 
install this software. ??? Hit google or microsoft.com.

Whether the app is easy to install or not on Linux really depends on the 
format they provide it in. So for those who want to make it easy, it 
means creating packages for the target distro. Which is the same 
situation on Windows. You need to download the correct installation file 
for your Windows 2000/XP or Windows Vista or whatever.
