Bios Setting: F2 diabled

Hello,

I upgraded from ububtu 8.* to the latest 9.* on my machine. but after that
my DVD device stopped working
and just after booting I used to get to Bios setting after pressing F2
button, now it doesn't work either.

Can someone help ?
