Nokia Smartphone Connectivity Suite for Linux?

That one did the trick!

The output file is playable and smaller in size...

All the ffmpeg options I tried did not work...

Also, Is there a GUI, noob-friendly application with similar functionality
as the original Nokia PC Suite?

I know I can do the same things with various pieces of software, and I
myself prefer the CLI most of the time - but I'd like a solution to "sell"
to potential "coverters" to Linux...

Thanks!
