Note that this was reported in June... so doesn't seem like an important
issue to the packagers. You might want to climb on that bug and this one:

[[wishlist] Adobe Reader is not packaged for amd64 (Jaunty)]
and see if they can do the same for karmic.

And while you're there, see if you can get them to fix this one as well :-)
