Uh... yes it does:
bladernr at klaatu:~$ wget -q -O - checkip.dyndns.org | sed -e
's/.*Current IP Address: //' -e 's/<.*$//'
71.XXX.XXX.XXX
(real IP obfuscated)
You were doing:
-O checkip.dyndns.org
and
-O -checkip.dyndns.org
when it should be:
-O - checkip.dyndns.org
I have a feeling it was just a matter of either Maxime's mail client
or your's mangling the line that makes it confusing.
