Has lucid given up?

I loaded Beta 1 shortly after it released, and have been running an
upgrade (aptitude update;aptitude dist-upgrade) every morning ever
since. Some of the problems have been fixed, but by no means all, and
it's a system I don't do much besides web browsing on, so presumably
other people are finding problems I haven't.
However, the last two mornings, there have been *0* packages upgraded.
The update looks at all the repositories, and then at the database, and
says that there are 0 packages to upgrade.
This leads me to wonder whether it's a new bug in the package manager,
or whether they really are down to the really difficult bugs that are
all taking more than two days to fix.
Does anyone know what's happening? The most important bug to me right
now is that I can't log in with the most recent kernel. Surely they
want to fix that one.
