One thing maybe not fully discussed is that the dropbox looks just
like part of the native filesystem:

That is my local system. If I 'cp' a file to the NewClient directory
within the Dropbox directory, that file is actually copied to the
dropbox server behind the scenes and is immediately available to
everybody I am sharing with on this project without them having to do
anything, which includes 1 diehard Mac User, and 2 semi-clueless
Windows users (and of course me on Ubuntu). It integrates into all
those filesystems and Desktops.  Very useful for sharing in certain
situations.
