Think about this.  He doesn't want mail from ubuntu-users list.
Therefore, he probably isn't reading any mail from ubuntu-users list.

Instead of everybody telling him how  to unsubscribe /on the list/ which
he ?isn't reading/, maybe we should try a mail directly to his account.

I have done this, alas, with no positive result.  I believe I left the
Subject: intact, though.  I will now email him with a different
subject.  Maybe some of you could do the same.  He's bound to
read /some/ mail.
