logout/shutdown applet

I could be wrong but a cursory glance at the 'indicator-session' applet
makes me think this is what you require. It also seems to me that the
default applet that you are unhappy with is actually called 'indicator-me'
(at least there is a package named that). I've just removed the default and
added 'indicator-session' myself as I also have no need for chat status
either, and it has done the trick. Although, it still takes up half an inch!
