I would say "depends for what". For me, I know the basics of basic, I can 
quickly program a little application taht will work, instead of taking hours 
if not days to learn another language.

But probably yes, for other projects other languages are better. languages are 
like cars, I don't think you can define "the best" 8except that the best is 
the one you can use and gives you the result you want.
