Cannot mount Squashfs

That seems to be alright. What is the output of 'dmesg | tail' right 
after you try to mount the file? And which ubuntu version are you using? 
There seem to be problems with squashfs-3.1 and squashfs-4.0 which might 
be related to your problem.

I don't know what exactly you are trying to do, but maybe the unsquashfs 
command from the squashfs-tools package can help you get better results.
