My apologies for the previous accidental empty message...
I would with two things:
1. Look over https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DocumentationTeam, particularly
the sections on joining and the style guide.
2. There is also an associated email list which you can subscribe to
from https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-doc.
I'm just starting to get my feet wet in that team myself, beginning
with proofreading wiki pages. It looks to be a great way to give a
little something back to Ubuntu, without necessarily having to become a
technical guru first... and everyone wins, because you get to learn
from the pages you're proofreading too.
