Ok, yet /etc/init.d/apache2 status says nothing; just return the cursor. 
The correct dir is /var/www I guess? I made the html folder as
you suggested and cped the files over from /usr/share/phpsysinfo; 
they're all in/war/www/html and even checked the sub-dir to be sure
everything got copied. I hope you're not assuming I know something I 
really don't know; remember, I'm apache and server illiterate. 
Appreciate your help.
