hi all,
i finally upgraded an 8.10 machine to 9.04 (x86_64), and now Xorg seems
to be broken.
upon rebooting, when Xorg started, i got a bunch of rubbish on the screen.
the machine has an ATI HD4850 video card in it, so i tried to install
their proprietary driver, version 9.12. the installation went fine, no
errors. now, when i rebooted and Xorg loads, i get no video signal at all.
not sure what else to try, so i would appreciate any help.
thanks!
