I would not worry about Virus infections per se, as that is not going
to be an issue worth getting into.

But there are certainly plenty of other ways javascript is capable of
causing trouble, such as cookie theft.

I think you'll find most modern website have some javascript so
disabling it, might have be done pretty selectively.

If there is anything worse than a Windows installation, its a virus
infected Windows installation.
