Update/upgrde Ubuntu 8.10

Ubuntu doesn't host repos for non-LTS releases (not that I could find 
anyway) that have reached EOL like Intrepid. You'll need to update your 
sources.list to point to a mirror like mirror.mcs.anl.gov that still 
hosts some of the old releases.
